How to join Stampin' Up!

How does an EXTRA $60 worth of product in your Starter Kit Sound?  If your wish list is as long as your arm, why not consider joining Stampin' Up! during Sale-a-Bration?
You will get 20% discount with every order, and there is no penalty if you decide to leave, you still get to keep the kit. Here are some FAQs for you if you are still on the fence.

FAQ about becoming a demonstrator

1. What are the minimum sales requirements?

You only need to submit $400 in sales per quarter. That is less than an average Stampin’ Up!® workshop! Also, you can submit your sales in any increment you wish and still receive your 20 percent discount and commission.

2. What if I want to do this as a hobby and not necessarily a business?

Stampin’ Up! supports all demonstrators, no matter their goals or the level at which they choose to run their business. If you choose not to hold workshops, you can simply place your own orders and/or collect orders from family and friends to equal the $400 quarterly sales minimum.

3. Can I be my own hostess?

Yes, you can be your own hostess anytime you want. Invite your family and friends into your home and have a workshop. You will be the hostess, receiving the hostess benefits, as well as the demonstrator, receiving your instant income and commission.

4. How much does it cost to get started as a demonstrator?

The Starter Kit is only $169 (postage is included), and is fully customisable. You choose up to $235 worth of any current Stampin’ Up! products and you will also receive a business supplies pack, containing materials you need to run your business (valued at $80).

5. How can I make money as a demonstrator?

You can earn money in three ways: instant income (20 percent of each order), monthly volume rebates (4-15 percent of total sales), and monthly downline override commissions (2 to 6.5 percent of your recruits’ sales).

6. Do I have to recruit other demonstrators?

No. If you were to recruit demonstrators, you would be paid override commissions on your downline’s sales, but this is a perk, not a requirement.

7. Where will I get project ideas for my workshops? What kind of training can I expect?

Stampin’ Up! provides dozens of training resources filled with project ideas and tips to help you run every aspect of your business, including a monthly publication called Impressions®, Demonstrator Support agents, a demonstrator-only website, hundreds of samples, annual and seasonal catalogues, a training DVD, the Demonstrator Manual, and a Product Guide.

8. Is Stampin’ Up! a well-known, respected company?

Since 1988, Stampin’ Up! has been selling rubber stamps and paper-crafting supplies. In that time, not only have they won industry awards and accolades, but also the loyalty and admiration of demonstrators and customers alike. And that is a trend that we work hard to maintain. You can rest assured that the reputation of Stampin’ Up! will only continue to improve!

9. What if I decide that I don’t like it once I’ve started? Will I be penalised if I quit?

You may choose to stop at anytime, and you will not be penalized. You simply stop placing orders. However, there are many benefits to remaining an active demonstrator.

6 Cards Nature Set with a Belly Band

Stampin' Up! Australia.
Start with a whisper white card base 14cm x 19.5cm, and fold in half. Using the Magnificent Maple #131868, stamp images in Summer Starfruit, Elegant Eggplant and Cajun Craze.
On a scrap piece of whisper white card stock, stamp sentiments from the Petite Pairs stamp set in Cajun Craze, then punch out using the oval punch.
Layer onto Elegant Eggplant card stock punched out with the scalloped oval punch.
Adhere to the centre of each card using dimensionals (I used different sentiments to make these cards all ocassion ).
Team with the medium envelopes in crumb cake, then using a strip of Whisper white card stock measuring 6.5cm x 30cm, stamp the leaf image again and wrap around the stack of cards and secure with Sticky Strip.
These cards make a thoughtful gift.

Memories of My Fave Papers...soon to be gone! Stampin' Up!

                                                    Stampin' Up! Australia
Would you believe I made a video of this darling card, then had to delete it because the soundtrack was totally out of sync! Gaaaa! Never mind, I am still giving you the photo inspiration and I will now proceed to tell you what went into the construction process LOL!

Start with your gorgeous Watercolour Designer Series Paper, cut a Daffodil Delight Card base, then cut a layer of Crisp Cantaloupe 1/4" smaller, then cut a DSP piece 1/4" smaller again. Do not adhere, because we are adding a layer of Daffodil Delight ribbon (I attached it to the back of the DSP piece using good ol' Scotch tape).
Punch out a piece of DD with the petite petals punch, then stamp 2 flowers on whisper white, one in DD and one in CC (ie Crisp Cantaloupe) then punch them out as well. For the Sentiment, I used Loving Thoughts, then cut it out using the Apothecary Accents die, and sponged some more CC around the edge for definition.
I popped on some candy dots from the Brights Pack, then added an inside layer which looks just like the envelope, in that I stamped a Petite Petal in Daffodil Delight, then in Crisp Cantaloupe, then, without re-inking I stamped again (stamped off) to form the 3rd flower.
Hope you like the finished card. Leave a comment, and share the love :)
Now I'm going back to my movie editor and finding out how to fix the sync problem.   !!!!

Thinking of Joining Stampn' Up? WAIT one more week for the reduced price kit!

I am often asked by my customers and friends how to become a demonstrator with Stampin' Up!
One of the most frequent questions is, "Do I need to actually demonstrate the products?" and the answer is, of course not! If you merely want to join to support your craft habit....ah hum! I mean hobby! then that is perfectly OK too. Most demonstrators start out this way and some go on to bigger things, like earning extra money and building a career full time, but there is NO pressure at all from me or from Stampin' Up! to do so.

Anyhow, there is a special offer beginning in ONE WEEK which may interest you if you are still on the fence about joining:

Beginning 27 May, for six weeks only, you can join Stampin' Up! at one of two great prices. They will continue to offer the traditional starter kit priced at $169 ($235 product value), but for six weeks only they will also be offering a reduced priced starter kit at the low price of $85 ($90 product value.)...and you still receive all the benefits of being a demonstrator!
This opportunity will only be around until the end of June, so check back on 27 May for full promotional details.
In the mean time, if you want to find out more about joining, here are some FAQs
I will keep you posted!
